Marie Walker
Marie is Raidiam’s resident Open Futurist, using her experience, insight and network to help countries and businesses create opportunities in the emerging data economy. She focuses on the possibilities that Open Data ecosystems like Open Finance can deliver, how we can get there and what ‘there’ should look like.
Since 2016, Marie has been uniting thought leaders and innovative ideas in Open Banking, Open Finance, and Open X. She plays a crucial role in highlighting progress,
analysing the impact of new possibilities, and helping people to have the necessary conversations.
Resham Kotecha
Resham Kotecha is Global Head of Policy at the ODI where she leads public policy work, along with efforts to work with governments to improve data ecosystems and data policy, with a current focus on AI. She sits on the Government’s Smart Data Council, and the FCA’s Future Entity Working Group looking at the future of Open Banking. Prior to working at the ODI, she worked as the Head of Policy at Wise, a FTSE listed FinTech company, leading policy work across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Resham has written for publications and think tanks such as The Times, the Centre for Policy Studies and Huffington Post and regularly speaks at policy conferences. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Cambridge University and has been recognised as as a ‘Global Shaper’ by the World Economic Forum.
John Fitzpatrick
John Fitzpatrick is the Head of Smart Data for the Department for Business and Trade. He leads the team responsible for the Smart Data clauses in the Data Protection and Digital Information Bill. His team are also supporting Smart Data policy development via a wider programme of work, including the Smart Data Council and the Smart Data Discovery Challenge. Prior to working on Smart Data, John led on policies covering Health, Science and Innovation.
